Yep, i think they do have wings x)
Мысля. Пытаюсь представить, как все это может выглядеть. Надкрылья странноваты в плане открытия, да - но как ни вглядывалась в Коллекционеров, никаких намеков на таковые вблизи позвоночника (которые еще и открывались бы адекватно) не заметила

Ха... ПМСМ - самый ТруЪ, с точки зрения анатомии и энтомологии вариант. Надкрылья - шикарны, если помните, уховёртки - тоже летают только вот их надкрылья по сравнению с изображёнными у вас - верх издевательства природы над ними..)

I think Protheans do have wings, but they were not used for a long time, so evolution decided that they don't need them, and what you would see under Javik's armor would be only a remnant of something that could actually lift a Prothean above the ground. Or they evolved and the wings kinda were there, but they were too heavy to use them. Harbinger took an advantage of this and made them usable.

Interesting.... I personally thought they would have wings when they're young but slowly became useless as they got older and bigger..... but then you have the collector who can use their wings..... Reaper genetic mods?

There could be subspecies that don't lose them entirely or yeah reaper mods
