Description
This is the first in a series of shots taken of a friend patiently awaiting motherhood. I was asked to take shots of mum and dad to be in both composed and natural poses. Although this looks somewhat posed, this is how Karolina chooses to relax during her last weeks of pregnancy.Edit: Karolina didn't have to wait too long, the results can be found here: [link]

Thanks! It was actually quite simple; just a standard bedside type lamp and a long exposure.

This is truly beautiful, the pose, the lightening, the contrast of light and dark, the lovely warm browns and tans, the glow on her skin, the expression on her face, extremely well done.

I'm happy to tell you that this is the ONLY photograph I have seen of a pregnant woman that I like. All the "celebrity" ones are awful and have no comparison. This is just spectacular.

It was her first time posing for the camera and my first maternity shoot...it must have been beginners luck! Thanks for your comment.

A great shot - the lighting gives her a lovely glow. A relaxed, calm pose.
I would love to try and draw this if that would be ok with you.

That is absolutely amazing
partly because there is something about pregnant women that makes me go "wow!", and also that the lighting is perfect.
