Description
Wow, illustration work! Yes, I'm a nub at it.One of my illustrations for Draconomicon, which came out on the 18th.
A red and blue dragon sizing up one another amidst dusky mountain tops. This image takes about 1/3rd of the page size, not too big.

Well as you can see many people like your work, I'm actually reading "dragon" drom ee knight, and it's really amazing to see your art and imagine a world of fantasy where dragons flight high above...
Sorry for my english, i'm french.
If you could draw more dragon fight, it would be marvellous.

well first of all, it's nice to see your interest for the comments on your art and all i can hope is that you'll will continue to draw beautiful things, and why not dragons!
I am not a good drawer, but i will publish what i've done.
To conclude, i'm really happy that such a site exists for I don't share this passion for drawing with my friends and that's something i really like, this is a way to dream.
Take care and draw as much as you can

thanks!
This is actually for an information book specifically on dragons from D&D called Draconomicon. It came out in November. Unless you mean, this is the newest version of Draconomicon, in which case I don't know!

Epic! I love the rich palette and painterly style, and the sense of movement and power is intense. I can feel the tension of the battle about to ensue.

Great composition and scene, the title fits the scene perfectly. Definitely the calm before the storm as they size each other up for the climactic battle

Thanks, it's hard to say cuz I work on them all at the same time over the course of a couple months, but I'd say at least 8-10 hours each.
How'd you kill your phone? I can't imagine that unless you dunked it in water.

What did you use to colour this? And did you scan in a sketch or did you paint it digitally all the way through?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Gorrem In reply to Tigermond [2008-11-25 15:21:22 +0000 UTC]
This was entirely painted in photoshop CS2. I was using a thumbnail I had drawn in a sketchbook as reference. I started with a black line drawing first, which I drew digitally.

The blue dragon will win this fight. There is no possible argument. I see a little bit of sadness in the red dragon's eye.
Maybe it's the age... hmmm
Or maybe the blue gradon killed his girlfriend.
Yeah! A gradon......
