Description
Wow, illustration work! Yes, I'm a nub at it.One of my illustrations for Draconomicon, which came out on the 18th.
A red and blue dragon sizing up one another amidst dusky mountain tops. This image takes about 1/3rd of the page size, not too big.

It's one thing to render dragons with all the details of the scales and the look of a furnace of pure power behind the eyes. It's pure awesome to make the viewer feel like they are in mid-air with a pair of them. Very dramatic, very detailed, very very good!

AWW mad props gorrem.... I so was trying to illustrate this exact scene the other day but i just couldnt get it right. So i bailed and worked on one of my characters. You did it really good though. If theres anything i would crit on i feel like the red dragon needs a bit of grey tones. You have the blue one being hit by alot of it from the light source so it makes me feel like its a pritty powerful light source but i dont see any on the red. Anyways awsome job!!!

Thanks!
I agree, I should have put some more cold tones in the red dragon but I was trying too hard to pop him forward. That is also why I made him so dark. I leave that up to a shadow of a cloud/mountain being cast on him?

It's good, I nitpick my work before I publish it on my own website so any input is appreciated. Thanks!
