Beautiful. Your style is always so clean-edged and symbolic, they'd almost make good stained-glass window designs.
Kris with a hollow chest, showing how their soul was displaced. The Delta Rune, their friends, the cards representing the four kingdoms of the Dark World, and the 'save points' in Kris's hands, driving them onward yet overwriting their own. Led on a journey they did not consent to, yet at least they hold that journey sacred (judging by the game text if you interact with the ball of junk, their Dark World inventory shrunken down). The way they know they're controlled by another entity, but are torn between the good and bad of it all. (At least that's my interpretation.)
