I liked the idea of making Pokemon monotype teams for my OCs and thought this up for fun. I've never actually drawn any of these Pokemon before this picture so sorry if they look kinda shitty, lol.

So... for some explanations:

🔥For Rocky, I decided on fire types mainly because he's got fire powers himself and fire resistance as a result, so handling them would be in his favor. Fire types could also come in handy when he has chemistry work to do, perhaps. Cyndaquil would be his starter, and his ace Pokemon would probably be a mega Houndoom, but he also enjoys using Volcarona in battle as an alternative. His favorite ball to use would be the Luxury Ball.

🌱For Venus, I went with grass types because it made the most sense with him being a botanist and his connection to nature. I was going to settle on psychic or ghost types at first because of his powers, but thought grass made more sense. His starter would be a Snivy, and his ace would be a Breloom due to his dislike of mega Pokemon. I decided a shiny Pumpkaboo/Gourgeist would be another favorite of his to use due to how special it is and because of how the palette sort of matches his style. He likes to keep his Pokemon in Moon Balls.

⚙️For Astro, I rolled with steel types with a similar reason to Venus - that being Astro's specialty in mechanics and working with many types of metals. I was debating on using electric types due to that reason as well or even flying types because he's a bat, but since steel typing has those two types as dual types under its belt, I figured steel was the one to go. His starter would end up being Piplup, and his ace Pokemon would be a mega Metagross. He keeps his Pokemon in Heavy Balls.

❄️For Tiffany I went with ice types due to a similar reason to Rocky - that being because of her ice powers and the fact that she lives in the mountains where a lot of snow and cold weather is present, making ice types easy to take care of. I figured it'd be appropriate for her to have a shiny Snorunt/Froslass as something special to her as well. Her starter would be a Totodile, and her ace Pokemon would be a mega Laparas. She prefers to keep her Pokemon in Premier Balls.

Then as a little bonus I thought it'd be fun to have Tiffany and Venus be rivals of some sort. Despite the type advantages, two part ghost types against each other along with various other dual-types could end up with an interesting battle.
