Description Hello! By NO MEANS is this the holy grail of "how to arms"!!!! I'm still learning and I'm sure this is not the best, but my boyfriend was asking for some reference so I decided to make this.
It's a little hard to read, so I'm going to rewrite everything here, starting with Slender Arms, then Buffish Arms, and then Fluffier arms and then the last section.

Slender Arms
[pointing to the shoulder] Don't forget the shoulders & deltoids (muscles)
[pointing to upper arm] tube shape. Even skinny arms have some meat (i spelled that wrong on paper lol)
[dotted like at waist to elbow] About at waist. Give or take, varies by person.
[pointing to forearm] A tube that lightly tapers.
[dotted like from crotch to wrist] About at crotch (depending on person)
[dotted like at fingers] Fingers hit somewhere at the midthigh (depending on person)

Some things I'd like to add here: You can see the star in the middle of her chest? If you take a compass and draw a circle (even a half circle) around that point at her waist level and other measurable arm levels, it can help you place where her elbows and wrists are easier, making it easier to keep the arms the same size. This works pretty well until you have arms that go above that sort of 45* angle. The real pivot point of the arms is not the chest, but the shoulders. So you should make your circles at the shoulders, measuring to her waist and etc. This is also necessary to do if the shoulders are at different heights. Once you have a better feel for this, you can skip the shoulder pivot circles or the chest pivot circles entirely.
Also, a slender person will probably have a quite visible collar bone.

Buffish Arms
[pointing to left arm] Sorry, I made this arm a bit too big.... Can you tell? (if you can, that's a good sign!)
[pointing to left wrist] Wrist bone protrudes slightly (on the pinky side of a person's wrist)
[pointing to elbow] Elbows are usually a sort of square shape, rather than curved or pointed.
[pointing to neck and neck closeup] Buffer arms will have a wider neck and shoulders. Often you can see the trapezoid muscles coming from behind the neck (looks very buff and often quite masculine).
[pointing to upper arm] Tube + potato = space car. Add more overall meat and some muscle to get a buffer shape.
[dotted line at waist again] notice how this is a different person and the ratios of torso to abdomen are different, as is exactly where the waist and elbow line sits.
[pointing to forearm] turkey leg. The forearm will be more exaggerated on a buff arm (I spelled things wrong again I'm sorry)
[dotted line from crotch to wrist]
[dotted line from knuckles to midthigh] I made the hand too big here I think, sorry.
[pointing to leg] Most people don't skip leg day. Bigger arms often means bigger/wider torso and legs in general. Also take not that the hips are off placed- the weight bearing hip (straight leg) is higher than the light leg (bent, and in this case front, leg). Also also take note that the thigh shape for a slender body is similar to the slender forearm shape and the thigh shape for a buffer body is similar to the buffer forearm shape.

Something to note: the more muscular a person, the more you can exaggerate these features. Shoulders may be HUGE and extremely round, a forearm may protrude greatly past the elbows. Another way to show buffness is in the collar bone and pecs (chest). Exaggerating these features along with the arm and neck can make someone looked really freaking ripped.

Fluffier Arms
[pointing to shoulder] Often the collarbone is not as visible.
[pointing to wrist] Ever so slight wrist. Here it's more of a light bump that a noticeable circle.
[pointing to forearm] Tapers more than a slender arm, but with a more even shape than the tear-drop of the buffer arm.
[pointing to underarm/upper arm] This will be pretty curved.
[pointing to hips] If everything else is bigger too, the arms will look bigger rather than buffer.

Something else: Note the little dips outward off the chest in all torsos. Everything is connected. Almost nothing is straight, so keep in mind the curved lines (even the "straight arms" have some curve to them!). Also note that you can take the bust, waist, and hip measurement and put them at different heights to create a wide range of body types.

Extra Section
First is an arm from the side, if a person was looking to the right. Please note that the arm is not completely straight- straight arms aren't relaxed. Also note the square for the elbow.
Second is an arm if the person was looking at the reader. Here, the elbow is on the back, so you can't see the square. Some people might draw a slight V joint at the inside of the elbow.
Third Top is an arm from an almost 3/4 view, bent. The taper for the forearm will be very noticeable when the arm is bent, because it will squish against the upper arm and flatten.
Third Bottom is a bent arm from the front, as if someone was leaning their elbow on a table. The squish from the forearm makes a pretty fun but weird shape! The squareness of the elbow will likely be most noticeable in this type of position.
Fourth is a comparison of two arms. By modifying the different shapes inside the arms slightly, you can create lots of different types of arms! They can be curvier or buffer, and some styles (cartoony vs manga vs comic, for example) will exaggerate different features more than others.

HOPE YOU GUYS LIKED IT. HOPE IT HELPED! I know going through all this again for someone else really helped me!!

Feel free to use wherever, however, just don't repost anywhere.
Thanks! ~Goss/Lyss <3
