I'm just gonna put this here, basically it's a map with all the provinces, I'm a huge fan of Paradox Interactive games so I like to make my own maps with their own provinces.It took about 2-3 hours to make the provinces and 1 hour to tweak the borders of provinces and to color lakes.
The original map I made several years ago was that the world was made of islands, 3 of them. But this got kinda boring so I made a new one with every island merged with the left one as an exception.

This is excellent work, and got me thinking that a nation-based sim/conquest game in the vein of EU and its kin would be brilliant transplanted to a fantasy world. Anybody up for conquering Westeros from Essos? 
The map does raise some questions though: if this is the whole world, it seems to be comprised solely of Space Filling Empires, though this could be justified if it's a certain era, and I see some potential territorial disputes. Who claims the large island around the 'Throat of the World', for instance? What of the huge land west of the Ladusian Sea? What of the islands in the Tyraelan Sea? Many questions, but only because this concept is so fascinating to me.

The large island at the Throat of the World was not fully colonized by any nation until the very end of the "colonial era". It was merely claimed by the Elf Kingdom and the Tyraelan Empire. It was mainly held by the Tyraelan Empire for a hundred years until the Elf-Tyraelan war began whereas the superior Elvish fleet conquered the western parts of the island. But due to internal struggle in the Elf Kingdom, they were forced to cede the counties there to the Tyraelan Empire, in which they were happy to take. Because they were preparing for a second war to reclaim them.
The Ladusian continent was pretty much a war-zone at the end of the "colonial era". Ladusian nationalists wanted a reformed Ladusian Empire, Tyraelan colonial rebels west of the Riman Sea wanted a religious Empire, with a capital far from the coast, to make it easier to defend from the Tyraelan Navy. The region you're talking about were controlled by the Tysoulian and Haemian crown. Due to higher priority in their colonies, the chances of having a successful revolt was very small. The Tysoulian and Gemarian armies were far more trained than the for example the Tyraelan armies. Mostly because both had a large military history and were military focused.
The Islands in the Tyraelan Sea were claimed by several nations. The Tellonian Empire, which was never actually an empire, merely a kingdom. And the Gemarian city states. Both of them were forced to cede the islands to the Tyraelan Empire during the late "Imperialism era" (Before the colonial era).
I hope my English is good enough to explain all of it. I've done a lot of changes on my new map. Province cleaning, more detailed provinces and made them based more on the history of each nation. If you want, I can draw a specific timeline

cool, haha me and my friends also tend to draw up maps for mainly rpg games. but if i might point something out... i hope you finish it. and mountain ranges and rivers. spacific landmarks.
