I kind of like how you're using these bases. The outlines from them are clearly intended for a chibi, or other cute style, character designs. Not that your characters aren't cute in their way, but a lot of the details you add really break that mold. Scars and tattoos being uncommon on cute characters.

I had thought your anatomy was pretty good before, certainly stylized a bit but still believable. Even in your pencil drawings all the proportions looked good. I never thought to build up from outlines to see how anatomy worked, I always tried to build it up myself. Nothing wrong with more practice and learning though
