true but...... maybe he was in hurry or something...... no wait he wanted to beat his older brother at max power to not hurt his brother's pride. like when Goku fought Vegeta in super saiyan 2, knowing he could of gone to super saiyan 3 at anytime (although it would've shorten his time on Earth)

Um...since when has GOKU cared about pride? He went SS2 because he thought that that was all it would take to take Majin Vegeta down. If he had been trying to keep from hurting Vegeta's pride, then by your own logic, he would have gone SS3 from the start.

true but like i said that would only shorten his time on Earth, and besides, if Goku had gone SSJ3 from the start Vegeta wouldn't last 2 minutes

That is true, but had he gone SS3 from the start, it would've been easier (somewhat) for Goku to get Vegeta to agree to the Potara.

um, i fail to see what the potara earings have to do with Goku SSJ3 vs Vegeta SSJ2

The fact of the matter is: Goku didn't use the SS3 transformation during his battle with Majin Vegeta. When Vegeta found out that Goku had been holding back on him, he was pissed. (Of course, this is VEGETA we're talking about here) When Goku suggested the Potara Fusion, Vegeta practically spat in his face. He called him 'prideless' and lamented on how 'humiliated' he was. It was only when Goku mentioned Trunks' fate (and after Buu-han (Super Buu + Gohan) beat them around a few times) that Vegeta finally agreed.

ahahahahaha, Vegeta is such a prideful fool, but he does care for his son, and he took down Buu with ease. I still don't know why the Potara earings effect wore off, in the show they said it was irreversible. what's up with that? ?

Vegito was pulled into Buu's body. And since Buu is a being made completely of Evil, and the Potara earrings were made by beings who were firmly on the side of Good, the dark energies in Buu's body separated Vegito into Goku and Vegeta. And what do you mean, 'Vegeta took down Buu with ease'? Vegeta had to sacrifice himself in a failed attempt to destroy Buu.

yea i meant "Vegito". even when they were a chocolate ball, they still punched a hole right through Buu's mouth. and now i wonder how Goku and Vegeta SSJ4 would look if they used the Potara earings instead of the fusion (which wore of waaay to quickly)

Vegito would look either the same as Gogeta did (brown fur, red hair, blue eyes) or he'd look like a regular SS4

No. Not a downgrade. Just a hurdle Goku had to overcome, that's all. Ya know, I really can't stand it when a person only looks for the bad in something, and not the good. GT had it good points, you're just not LOOKING for them! Sheesh!
PS If Raditz rules so damn much, why is he such a minor barely-any-screen-time character now?

the only good i saw in GT was the Baby saga and Shenron saga. the black star dragonball hunt was a bore because it barely had any action, and Pan was being a total bitch. Android 17 was awesome but didnt last as long as i expected. Raditz never came back because Akira Toriyama didnt feel like it. why? i dont know, but why do they mock him so much, i dont see Napa being mocked, and he was blown to hell by Vegeta.

As for Pan being a 'total bitch', well unlike ChiChi, Pan had a passable reason: she loved her Grandpa, but resented him for just taking off with Uub for most of her life.
I mean, you like Super Saiyan 4, so how can you say Pan's a bitch? It was because of HER (and a plan devised by Old Kai) that Goku ascended! And that scene where Pan finds the bag that had the Dragonballs while Syn Shenron (The bastard) was beating Goku down. That part where she finds the bag and holds it to her chest with tears welling up in her eyes, looking all lost and scared, saying, "The Dragonballs...Grandpa...what happened...?" before stumbling off was just damn heartbreaking. (At least as far as I was concerned...)

I said she was a total bitch not useless (I think) I didn't know she ended up with Uub, seeing as the last time I saw her she was watching her grandchild fight in the tournament decades after Goku left the planet with Shenron to train, which still kind of pisses me off. There where so many questions left unanswered in GT and no answers to be found anywhere.
PS Its been a while since we've discussed this topic and wasn't it about Raditz?

While it was about Raditz, yes, I didn't say Pan ended up with Uub, I was talking about what happened at the end of DBZ, when Goku flew off with Uub. Because Goku took Uub for training, Pan grew to resent him for not being there for a good few years of her life.

It still wouldn't have killed him to visit them every now and then. Its not like he was with Uub 24/7. His wife, his kids, what about them? I'm sure he had faith they could take care of themselves but the outcome was disappointing. To me anyway.

First one: 'Raditz is awesome'. I only know him as 'the older brother of Goku', and that's all. Canon refers to him as a rather weak Saiyan; even Saibamen were a challenge for him. (At least that's what I recall reading about him)

JaseShuzaku In reply to omnimon11 [2012-02-22 23:35:59 +0000 UTC]
That is true and there was no retribution for the hated saiyan. I don't hear Yamcha getting mocked and he quit fighting later on. Raditz took on Goku and Piccolo by himself and before you say they got stronger with time don't you think he could've done the same? Maybe not as strong as Vegeta or Goku but somewhere in the top 5. At least the top 10.

omnimon11 In reply to JaseShuzaku [2012-02-23 13:35:49 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, well, Yamcha quit because: A) his non-human compatriots (Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, etc.) are just progressing too fast for him to keep up. B)He has neither Tien's drive, nor a near-sadistic cyborg wife, who pus him through grueling training, every time she feels her hubby's getting out of shape, like Krillin does... C) His status as a rather minor character was getting kind of obvious. (I know what people say about GT, but...) And if Frieza and Cell were any indication, it seems like the residents of HFIL spend their time either trying to revolt against their jailers in hopes of escaping, or simply sitting down in a huff and bemoaning their situation, futilely swearing revenge on the person/people who killed them. The reason I say this? We never see any instance at all about the HFIL residents getting stronger, aside from Frieza and Cell's 'Light Cage' trick. I mean, if Vegeta was able to vaporize Nappa (again) with a blast that looked rather casual compared to the one he used to kill his former partner the first time, what does that tell you about Raditz's progress in the afterlife?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
JaseShuzaku In reply to omnimon11 [2012-02-23 21:54:33 +0000 UTC]
But there's no proof that they ever trained in the afterlife. It's assumed because there was probably nothing better they could've done but that was 20 years. PLenty of time for them to polish their skills. Yet they were taken down as if nothing; impossible. I saw Nappa coming out of hell in GT but not Raditz, probably assuming they would blow him away with just air.

I basically just said that. There IS no proof. But I think I did see Raditz, but only during the 'horde of evil' (if you know what I mean) scenes

i get wat ur saying but its just that Raditz is Goku's older brother and was(before being killed, retarded writters) a better fighter that Goku and Piccolo couldnt beat, until the whole grab him and blast him thing.

....... the stronger the sayain the stringer they will be when they become super sayain. The power level of raditz was 1,200 so his power level a a ssj should thereticly be 60,000 but since the multiplier decreases with power, lets says it might be 200,000-2,000,000.
base goku before going ssj was either 300,000 or 3,000,000 depending who you thinks right. and ssj goku was at a power of 15,000,000 to 150,000,000. at at ssj3...

That's one possibility. I tend to go more that Hell= about 300 years for every year on Earth. So he'd be already SSj4 by the time Goku decides to encounter him again.
