Description
Men are not forced to carry mace on their runsTo know how to hold their keys
To ward off an attack
Men are not told they are not worth educating
Because they're just going to be househusbands anyway
Men are not given less money than women
And told it is because they take paternity leave
Men can be authoritative without being bitchy
Men can be assholes without being cunts
Men can be a badass without having to be sexual
Men are taught to be leaders
Because men have always been leaders
Women are taught to be like men
Because to be male in this society
Is better
Women are taught that courage
Intellect
Intelligence
are masculine
That when we wear pants
When we want education
When we want independence
The vote
property of our own
We only want it so we can be "like men"
When men are raped
They are not asked what they were wearing
With the implication that it mattered
They are not asked what kind of sex they have
They are not asked if they flirted with their rapist
Or in any way could be "asking for it"
Men do not have to put on makeup
To be seen as having good hygiene
Men do not have to wear hose under their pants
Because male legs are not sexualized
Male power, male dominance in a workplace
Is not sexualized
Dirty secretary, dirty teacher
Dirty nurse, dirty nun
But there are no
Dirty CEO, dirty principal
Dirty doctor, or dirty priest
Because male-dominated is not sexualized
Men in tights is a joke
Women in tights is a fashion statement
For a woman to dress manly is okay
Because society likes men
But for a man to dress like a woman
Is degrading
Because in society, to be a woman
Is degrading
Men are not bad drivers because they are men
But women should not drive
Because they belong in the kitchen
Because that is woman's work
Men are not illogical because they are men
But women should not do anything once a month
Because they are bleeding from their uteruses
Because their hormones are raging
Because that makes them less human
Mansplain that.

Look, I feel bad about this, and I wish we all could be equal one day, no matter gender, race, sexual orientation.
But do not presume that men have it easy when they raped. No one believes them because men cant be raped. Men are always horny, they say, he must have enjoyed it they say.
I don't want to come screaming "men have problems too" because that would be wrong. I would be silent if this was anything else. But sorry, I cant stay silent about the rape.

hahaha so true.
While I freely admit to sometimes wearing flannel, it's a crude stereotype (redundant?) and needs to be fixed.
<3 Thanks for the input. :3 (and the fave )

I've been thinking about this kind of thing a lot lately. The sexism ingrained in daily life is really annoying.
Being trans, I never encountered the misogyny about periods myself, though (hooray for being permanently broken )

I wouldn't call you broken, just a different kind of woman. (I'm assuming that's your gender identity, correct me if I'm wrong)

No, you guessed it right .
You might be surprised at how rare that attitude is. Then again, you might not be. It's fighting the internalized stuff that's the worst, though.
It's still really nice to hear it from someone else. Thank you!

yeah, people can be VERY brutal. ><
Internalized stuff is bad too. I mean, I'm bi, so I hear that I'm not "gay enough" to be GLBTQ+ and the straight people assume I'm "just experimenting".
it's great.
<3 Just keep being you! haha

LOL you should hear a few of the cis-lesbians.
Great advice! <3

Lol trust me, I have. hahaha
I've had lots of different people try to define what it means to "really" be bisexual and I was like "uhm, I think I know what I am?"
yeah. XD <3

No, not all men. And "pig" is not true either. I mean, the problem is not with men alone, but with society and what it teaches.
