This, I know, and it's okay
But have respect for me as I have for you
It's not easy to live this way

To come into a place
Full of such liberal people
Who are offended by a conservative
Who simply wants to pray beneath a steeple

Come, pray with me!
I leave the invitation open to all
But you see, none follow me
To assemble in my Father's hall

I share the grit of my life
With any around myself
It's not to make you stand in awe
It's to take the Scripture off the shelf!

Do you not see the true miracles
Working in your everyday life?
How about the ordinary moments
When you find yourself laughing, despite your spite?

When someone can accept herself
And dares to be who she has been created
This faith should be encouraged, cherished
Instead, in this world, it is hated

Apparently my words offend the masses
Though I use no profane words, no swears
Apparently, it doesn't matter the words
Because when you have faith, suddenly everyone cares

I don't see it, really, I don't
How I am not allowed to be offended by legalized evil
And yet, and yet, I am crucified behind my back
For daring to defy common devils!

You can laugh, you can point
And call me Palin junior if you want
My strength is more than anyone can know
I have handled more than my share of taunts

I've always been on the outside
I don't say it to be a martyr
But I am a witness, silent no longer
And it's time to introduce you all to my Father

It's like that Pepsi commercial
It's time to wake up, people!
Because you've been sleeping in the chapel
And well, it's feeble

You complain about retreats
Instead of accepting such a great gift
You break off into your own ideologies
Instead of trying to heal pre-existing rifts

You makes excuses not to follow
Because you claim, it doesn't make sense
What's so hard, about being wanted,
For being you, no more, no less?

I've heard all the excuses
Well, they just don't fly
I know, I'm probably offending people again!
But really, grow up, try not to cry.

Abuse your words, speak profanity
Abuse your body, abuse your soul
But I, well, I choose something more
I choose to be made whole

Someday, maybe not for millions of years
Someday, the partial shall pass away
And on that day, I intend to rise again
Along with all the angels and the saints

Laugh, mock, be offended
In fact, you should, it shows signs of life!
So by all means, make fun of my decisions
