When Bruce reached the upper floor, the door opened and a bright light obscured his vision. Then a voice said: ''Take them out!''. Bruce got shot and collapsed on the floor. A CAT6 merc approached him and said: ''This one's still alive!''. ''Bring him here.'' said the voice. It was Brooks who killed the men from Alliance's extraction team. ''Bruce Shepard. Just the man i was looking for.'' she said: ''Don't waste your energy, you're going to be dead in a matter of minutes.''. She ordered the merc to put Bruce up on his feet. ''There's something i'd like you to see.'' she said and pointed at large building in a distance: ''There, you see that? That's Cerberus weapons and explosives factory. They're everywhere at all the major human colonies.''. ''What do you want from me?'' asked Bruce. ''As a volunteer for the secret Cerberus mission, you helped them succeed. And that makes you a member of their organization. Besides, you are the brother of notorious Willow Shepard - The Illusive Woman. Today, you and your Alliance buddies, will pay for the crimes you have done.'' answered Brooks. ''No. No! You'll kill everyone!'' said Bruce. ''Death is only the beginning, Bruce. Justice must be served - and i can't allow you - or anyone else - to stay in our way.'' said Brooks: ''Eyes forward, Bruce. Pay attention.''. She used a remote detonator and the facility exploded releasing a huge shockwave. ''And now it's time for you to join the pile of corpses.'' she said. Before she could pull the trigger, Bruce pushed her and fell down.
