Description Lala....for English we have a portfolio due tomorrow and we're supposed to pick from a list of responses, creative and formal, to make it up. Well one was comparing and contrasting the characters. So I drew each of the three main characters as they were when they arrived on the island, and how they looked when they had been there for awhile. So yeah. This is how I feel Piggy looked. And...that's basically it.

BTW - Yes I know he's missing an arm. Honestly, he regenerates so you know...it grew back after he lost it fatefully in the plane crash....

Mediums - Pencil, Faber-Castell Pitt artist pens

Artwork (C) Me
Piggy (C) Golding

Actually I was just lazy...

B'aww. Somehow I always think Piggy is really cute, in a cuddly sort of way. Only thing is, they said his hair didn't grow out like the other boys'.

LOL I like how to said Piggy regenerates back his arm. Nice job for both this and Ralph which I forgot to put a good job on.

Although - you'd think that, after his hair has had time to grow that much, he'd be just as skinny as all the other boys. . .

True.... they didn't ever mention in the book that he became skinnier... did they? Cause then wouldn't I feel stupid for drawing him fat. You would think that but maybe I just really screwed up..

No, they never did mention it in the book. I was kind of interested, but hey, maybe it's because he ate alot on the island and slept all the time?

Maybe so. Maybe so... it would make sense. But the idea that you would get skinnier from being stranded on an island makes sense. Gah.. whatever..

Cool response. ^^ I don't think they ever mentioned him getting thinner, though I do think they mentioned how his hair didn't grow, contrary to the other boys. (Methinks it was to make him more "pig-like" as he was often objectified/called.) But I like your rendition of Piggy. ^^

Actually, the reason why his hair never grew is a mere interpretation of the way he, unlike the other boys, doesn't turn savage like them. In other words , long hair = turning into savages; and since piggy's hair doesn't grow = not turning savage.

Yeah but you know, being on an island with hardly much to eat and being a fat kid, you'd probaly lose weight. Theres no way Piggy would remain the size he was through the course of the book and such. Did they really? I don't remember. For some reason I think this all taken more than it needed to be, you know? Details matter none, I based it all off what I figured some poor fat kid would be like stuff on a deserted island and such. But thanks, glad you like the way I imagined him. Appreciate the input too.
