I need to lose this bad habit I got recently, of sitting on finished photos for, er, months for no reason. But… hey, here’s a new work!

Fun fact, there are two things kind of colliding in here. First, I had the idea for 10 Silver Bullets ages ago while listening to the song, and it was pretty much what you can see here: side profile portrait with a bullet halo. It’s one of those very simple, very basic, “I’ll get it done, eventually” kind of things that could be taken at any given momen if only I weren’t a lazy ass. But even after I had one of my flatmates procure a bullet as a prop (which was the only relatively difficult part since, y’know, I don’t live in the USA and I can’t just casually buy a semi-automatic rifle with ammo at the grocery shop for shits and giggles), I kinda let it slide to one side.

The portrait I ended up using was actually a test shot for a completely unrelated project. I was already groomed for that one, but not styled just yet, I was just checking the light, but… I don’t know what happened here. I just love how that t-shirt looks on me, how my back looks in it, the whole movement of the arms… it’s one self-portrait I really, really like. And since I needed a portrait like this for 10 Silver Bullets, I decided that okay, this is it, it’s the one, let’s go for it. And I love the end result.
