Just like in Sonic Underground series in 1999. And now today, here is Sonic from Sonic Boom playing the guitar. I guess he still does know how to play the electric guitar.

There's another link between the two continuities. The siblings in Sonic Underground possessed instruments that could be converted into weapons, in Sonic Boom (the games, not sure which one), Sonic is able to use a trumpet gun which is an instrument that doubles as a weapon. Not many people have mentioned this and I'm quite surprised. This helps further prove there's a link, but there's yet another link but this time to AoStH. In the boom show, there is that big guy, I think he's a sailor? Anyway look at his tattoo, doesn't it look like a Merhog on his arm?
