Description
This is a A4 piece of work I did for my Alevel project on the art of armour, it took me ages because it was a line for line drawing of a Durer section of work. Zoomed in its abit scruffy but Im getting better slowly, just takes time!Related content

Nice job.
The background horses eye shows your pain during this work.
One of Albrecht's etches was burned in Amersfoort Holland during a fire last year. My home town.

That's awful, I can't believe how many he did but losing one still seems heart breaking.

Yes, never found out which one was burned.

Thankyou so much, I haven't done anything in so long I really need to get back into it. This took forever but I did it between lessons when I was at college, and sat at the back when ignoring teachers!

Very nice study. I'm doing some myself now, would love to see more! (FYI though, Knight, Death and the Devil is an engraving not an etching)

I would never have enough patience to work on something with that many lines. Great job.

Durer... looks familiar. Oh! Knight, death and the devil. Yeah, I remember taking a look at his work in art history last semester. You seemed to pick the most unobtrusive part of the entire engraving. If I hadn't known the piece previously, I would have never guessed there was funky imagery (as you also managed to crop out the skull)

Oh, your'e really good! What studenty thing are you studying? (Let me guess..."art"?)
You've given lovely contours and definitions to the horses muscley bits, and this looks like a woodcut relief from where I'm sitting.
(wish I drew like that...snif.)

I'm doing Illustration, Fine Art was too *direct* for me lol, I like it more laid back and getting given more choices.
Thankyou for you're lovely comment

Very welcome. I've just done 3D crafts and design at foundation level. Fantastic year, which just flew by and I'm really missing it.
If you had been at my college, judging by your gallery, you'd have been a star.

Mah Gawd. What detail. Nice value, I think I'da jumped off a bridge if I had to do this. I sugest a smaller full view tho. Only so I dont have to scroll around to see the whole pic in all it's splendor.

Woo thankyou, Alevels went ok, but i was upset about art. I got a B for my AS, which brought my A down to a B =[ But Im ok about it now lol, realised theres more important things than getting an A
