Description
This is a A4 piece of work I did for my Alevel project on the art of armour, it took me ages because it was a line for line drawing of a Durer section of work. Zoomed in its abit scruffy but Im getting better slowly, just takes time!Related content

I love it. I thought it was a print when I first saw it. That's pencil?! I love the style. So many lines! But they work to express what they need. Good job.

Wow! I've been looking through your pieces and I have to say that I have rarely seen someone who is so good at cross-hatching and shading. You fill your subjects in without making them look scratchy or "too busy". Your shadings are really evocative of light, which I know from experience is very very hard to do. I love how you fill everything in to where it's as if the white space makes up your subject more than the pencil/pen. Some of your stuff reminds me slightly of Edward Gorey, but only in the way that he was a master of making a piece out of what looked like almost random pen/pencil marks because they filled the entire page. The muscles and veins on the horses must have been really hard and you did them so very well. You also managed to use the white space to convey the satiny sheen of a well groomed horse hide. The only thing I would nitpick about is that the sideways horse - his ears seem to be a little bit small for a horse and his legs seem a little too small (or thin) as well.
Sorry if I don't make too much sense, I don't have a lot of traditional art training, so I don't always know the proper terminology. Anyway, keep it up. Me likeys

WOW! The horse with open mouth its nose is just a liitle bit off but it does give it this old style drawing feeling like it was made in 1800 century or something GOOD JOB!!

nice drawing, and looks like an emboss piece to me, which is very amazing
interoretation: a war will soon begin, the horse smells the blood that will fall down on the ground, the horse also smell his master's blood leaking on the floor and the horse doesn't like it
very good

really impressive work.
I can imagine it took a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get that level of perfection in details.
