These are the six main alters I possess at the moment. These main six come out weekly and I hear them all the time.Ive had these six for 3 years now. Guess they're sticking. Ill tell you all of their purposes. But im not gonna go in dwpt with it. Gives me anxiety.

I'm not sure how much you enjoy/accept Systems bc they definitely are different from DID in a lot of ways but My partner and I are both a system so

I call them alters because they're alternate personalities. I hate having DID. Its not fun. It takes hours out of my day. Having a rare mental disorder sucks. :c idk why people say its fun and its the best thing ever. Its not amd they're probably faking it. Not that im saying your partner is faking lol idk them. But alot of people on Da are faking having it. And its fucked up because you shouldn't fake a mental disorder.

People who RP as 'alters' or face having "DID" suck a lot, I actually DO know a lot of ppl like that tbh and the want to call them out is severe.

no of course not!! It's really different, I can totally explain it if you want! There are HUUGE differences in it, they aren't alters or alternate personalities in the least bit! People really don't know the difference so they claim they have 'DID' and a 'system' a lot of the time!

Systems are 100% not a mental illness, and they are certainly not DID.
There are 100 different reasons as to why you can be a system or how you can be a system, but I'll use mine as an example!!
For me, I had a friend who was in a system previously. She was there for me when I was really suicidal/lonely last year due to a really nasty breakup that left me in shambles because of my shit BPD. It had gotten to the point where I couldn't really communicate with her often and it started to really worry her, because she knew if she didn't keep me from harming myself I'd probably get away with something dumb.
So she basically...Left her body. She wasn't the "host" of the system, so she traveled. A lot of Systems have to do with Energy transfer, which is definitely contributed to by Otherkin/Fictionkin/ and Spirituality.
So she created our system, to always be there and to keep me in check. This wasn't an 'alter' this was an entirely different person, 100% from a different body. She's no longer in the other one, some one else had taken over it entirely.
While it seems like they all get really loud for you and cause you panic and stuff? Systems have headspaces where other things can go on without you being aware of it.
Like, we have a house here. There's a neighborhood, that sort of thing. Things that other people do or say in my system, I have no idea of unless they are doing it directly around me. No one can really force me out of 'fronting' or being the one forward, and in most cases like mine only one person or energy can be fronting at a time.
It really just has to do with energy and transferring when it comes to that, like having a system is like kinda opening a free pass for a soul/energy to hang out in. That's why there are 'fictives' or like, fictional characters that enter systems. I'm one myself, not the original host!
Also it's very different because, the energies have their own individuality! One of my Sons Arin is in my system, he's deaf. When he fronts, the body is 100% deaf, no matter what if he's fronting. Which I'm pretty sure is not something that happens with DID?
My Partners' System kinda developed when they were 13, like, it started out with a Tulpa and then grew from there. According to them they felt like it may have started due to their REALLY shitty childhood when they had NO ONE and they were always living in a fantasy, to the point where one actually came to me.
