had no intentions of drawing today, but after a particularly crappy day really needed a distraction and apparently some digimoni put more thought into this one than usual.

hahaha didn't expect to be called adorable XD. yes it was. so enjoyable, yet just a twidge dark...ok, really dark. it can get deepprreessiiing at times. which kinda gave it its own flavor so to speak. Had a pretty decent story when you consider its an anime aimed towards kids. The world itself was fascinating. being the nerd that i am i loved the whole concept of the digital world. the digimon sometimes crossing over in our world disrupting our electronics and destroying stuff was a twist i didn't see coming. a pretty sweet twist if you ask me.

We are friends now. Very true! I love your take on the movie, well really the whole series has these themes, well at least season one did, I have not gotten though the new ones. I think dumbing down content for children is just foolish and patronizing and digimon never did that they had a really complex world and dealt with some really cool ideas about technology and some other cool stuff that I am too tires to think about X). That is what makes it a fun series to go back and rewatch because you can appreciate details you did not consciously understand as a child.

actually that was my take on the whole series. but it can definetely be applied to the movie -I'm looking at you cherubimon's exploded head-. now, if you want my take on the actual movie...well, i could make a book :3.
agreed. when it comes to children shows the best ones is the ones whose intent and purpose is for children and doesn't take a PhD in philosophy to understand or enjoy. but that stuff is there for the older auidience to enjoy while their kids enjoys things go boom. that is if they can get over it being aimed towards kids and give it a serious look....and can stand the horrible voice acting and animations XD. although i went into the movie expecting to cringe at the voice acting but it was really well done for what it is.
I do intend to go back and rewatch the whole series and see whats there that flew over my head as a child. probably be some interesting food for thought....and probably a few...umm...suggestive stuff to. i've rewatched several old animes i watched as a kid and went "well now, when'd this get here o-o". weather it be perverse or just questionable to the rating theres something in any anime aimed for kids that'll make you go and make sure it is indeed made for kids XD.

XD you don't like the digimon dub? I love the cheesy jokes they added in, its one of the few English dubs that I think is on par if not better than the Japanese version.
ahh digimon is not so risky except the hitchhiking bit, that is messed up. What a creepy life lesson?

o no. i liked the voice acting in the movie. i was just pointing out that anime, especially kids anime, have really bad english dubs. especially in the 2000's. The jokes where a bit overdone but they where atleast chuckle worthy. i got a kick out of them especially there at then end when willis/wallace is like "this is all my fault" then davis hogs the screen going "why? did you teach him how to juggle!".
The music was also good. normally when they americanize an anime i cringe at the fact that they changed the music out. but in this case it added songs that really got your blood pumping for the action scenes. on that note, thats another thing i was expecting to be bad but the action scenes where good. could've done without the full 30 second digivolving scenes that stopped the action.
yeah that part about them hitch hiking kind of weirded me out. its like "soooo, you just get into some random chicks truck and in no way think that it might be a bad idea..." or worse the pizza delivery guy. yeah, no way that one can go horribly wrong.
one of my personal favorite thing with the last two parts of the movie is how it alludes to how to defeat him without really telling them. i remember trying to figure it out when i was little and being surprised that it meant back in time. it caught me off guard so it was like "cooool" though it rather creeped me out how he says it. "gooooo baaaacccckkk"
