The eyes are powerful in this. In fact, the whole thing is quite intense. While I'm not a huge fan of photography (mostly because I don't understand it), I definitely like this. Great piece.

Indeed I did mean the technical side. As far as composition and figurative meaning is concerned, I've spent my whole life cultivating my understanding of those ideas, since I draw. But cameras scare me. As does everything mechanical or digital.

ooh. Well, in that case, I probably have less idea of the technical side...but i'm not really bothered about that. I mean, if you don't know any laws of photography, the manual combinations, what they're called, what the right way is to adjust them and just focus on aesthetics and achieve the result...who cares?

That's how I am about drawing, too. Though, that doesn't really work when I write. Well, your way of "achieving the result" seems to work marvelously, judging by the results themselves.
