Sooooo, I recently found out how to adapt the smudge brush in CS3 to act more like a soft blender from Painter (my favorite tool).As much as I love painter and its abilities, I hate that it takes me 15-20 mins to save my work; so Ive been looking for a way to leave it behind----voila.
So this shows what I've done with the knowledge. The differences will be minor to any casual observer--but the work I do usually is. Best seen side by side on of the previous images, if anyone cares that much.

Very, very nice! The smudge tool does make a great blender! I love her dress especially, and the jewelry on her horns is so pretty. You should do more work like this for sure.

This is still a great piece, but comparing this side by side with the previous one, all I can see is a few extra shadows in places.
Hey, I miss the full version in v7! The one with the extra characters inside the house, and the full view of the sea. Will you re-introduce those in the future?

Tried some line removal too.
And this is essentially just a part of that picture; thought it was the original focus of it before it just bloomed into the big one. But my tablet cant handle it in its entirety, so I had to split it up into two parts (AMD/ATI architecture weaksauce). This is like a 'detail shot'.
