Tell me about it! my sons an IT geek. He plays 'call of duty' all day when everthings running smooth, but when the poo hits the fan he earns his money.(Which isn't very often)

yes I know what its like... I once worked for Stream International, which is this huge company that does phone IT for all the other tech companies as well as stock trading and all sorts of stuff... if you call for any sort of phone assistance, you're probably calling Stream (although they moved it all to India now)... anyway, I worked for Dell Computer's Dail-up division (and don't believe Dell commercials that tell you they have wonderful techs right at Dell to help you... its BS, they hire out to Stream like everyone else)... but a bunch of guys had set up a system in the lounge with multiple monitors so they could play Doom across the network in total immersion (three monitors at each station so you had front, left and right views all at once) and most of the Dell Dimension guys spent all their time just playing Doom...

Exactly! got it in one.
My friend was an IT nerd also, he worked for a big bank in the city. Management decided they wanted a certain amount of keystrokes per day from them. Someone wrote a program which replicated multiple keystrokes. They carried on with their games

Yes! They are too clever for the likes of me! I was an art gallery technician ( I framed, repaired stuff, set up exhibitions and I even had to make a man part for a sculpture that had broken off!)

ah sounds like a decent job... I've done a little bit of just about everything... carpentry, woodworking, running a sawmill, farming, painting... all the construction trades, driven a front end loader, worked in glass recycling, did plastic injection molding for a while, worked as a computer tech... and my hobbies only add to the list... plastic car models, rock climbing, small wood crafts, gardening, riding ATVs, computer gaming, computer programming, writing bad poetry and worse short stories, reading everything... LOL
