Superb work!
Reminds me of the scene in the excellent book Inherit The Stars by James P. Hogan, where astronauts from Earth uncover a half-buried, helmeted skull on the Moon.Β

An oldie but a goodie! Very nicely done! (And Anders does some beautiful work - check out his aeroplane models.)

I love this, all the time we see Star Wars Characters "die" but never anything more like the corpse or skeleton, except for Lukes aunt and uncle.

I stumbled on this and I am so happy this is so cool. Wow I love it, it tells a story of a battle long ago in a place far far away

Beautiful work. Are you a fan of the "Terran Trade Authority Handbook" series from the 70's by any chance? They had a book called Space wreck featuring amazing art showcasing derelict spacecraft.
Love a piece of work that evokes being lost in time with a backstory we will never know! Well done sir.

The background came from Google
The Helmet and Skull are 3d objects which I used in Lightwave to render out the scene.
