If I just ruined everybody's hopes and dreams involving Lucario, well I'm very sorry. |DThat said, it had to be done. Let's face it, when it boils down to it, Lucario's face is an anatomical no-no. He has a canine like snout that acts as NOTHING except his nose, whereas in normal canid species it also acts as the mouth and jaw. Then ends at his face where it structures into a somewhat human-like mouth structure. Therefore, Lucario simply has a very large, long, nose. (which may explain why I go through hell every time I draw him) This is akin to something you might find in a swordfish. XD Seriously people, try to imagine an actual skull and jaw structure under that skin. IT DOESN'T WORK NOW DOES IT?

I have no qualms on this-Lucario's nose is what I call a "muzzle-nose"
Its like a muzzle but its not at the same time. He's like a hybrid of some kimd. I love the concept (reminds me of gene splicing).
But yeah everyome draws it differently.
I'm working a picture where I'm drawing my sona (grey lucario) wearing a gasmask.
Here's the fun part:what I did was take a dog muzzle, and a human gasmask and meshed it toghether to make a costume gasmask.
It looks normal from the front, but if tou approached from the sides, tou'll notice the nose area of the mask is a bit longer so it accomadates the muzzle-nose. I think its cool

No, no, NEVER defy the anatomy books. They are your friend. You have to know correct anatomy before you can purposely screw with it.
For instance, I had to learn how to draw a regular horse before I could draw a six-legged nightmare horse with gills on its sides, a long, stiff reptilian tail, and a hammer-head face that opens sideways like a giant pair of scissors. >:3

Funny you should mention that - I once saw a canid skull with an upper jaw that extended a bit past the lower jaw.
If only I found out what species that skull belonged to...

But you see, it's his SSBB skull and jaw structure that makes his face more akin to that of a swordfish than a canine. XD And still, it makes his muzzle just a big nose. |D

Yeah. I saw his head very closely and he have a little part of his jaw is little long and with his nose is like a little muzzle. But your description of Swordfish is more correct. XD
But some characters are cool still than have a big nose. Like Tenguman or Super Mario. XD

Yeah, he's still cool. But the difference between Mario having a big nose (or Luigi, I've never seen Tenguman) and Lucario having a big nose is that Lucario is supposed to look like a dog. Mario isn't.

About Tenguman. He is a RobotMaster from Megaman series. He have a red face like mask that have a long nose. (based from Japanese mythology of the demon Tengu) It's a cool character too. XD
