Here ye! Hear ye! all ye good people!
I am officially announcing that I am now working on a new webcomics project that will run under the title of "Crestbraid". While being independent from my previous project "The Adventurers ", this new story will share some features with the former one, including backgrounds and places, as Cresbraid is in fact some sort of a spinoff of the The Adventurers. If the story will not be divided in "Levels" and "Chapters" as it was the case in The Adventurers and will therefore run more as a single storyline, it will retain a similar page format with an attempt at humoristic punches.
So I would say that if you liked The Adventurers, then Crestbraid should also please you.
So here are the six mains characters of this brand new story. I won't give you much information about them and instead let you discover their personalities through the comics that should start somewhere in September.
Inaenn-kin: Dryad druid.
Ichao Gnugeekmert - a.k.a. The Ferret: Gnome thief
Therina Crestbraid: Human paladin
Yveray Stormblaze: Half-Elf ranger
Luq Stormblaze: Half-Elf invoker

I am curious, what did you upgrade to for a PC? a 3000x1688 image had to have taken at least an hour or two. (Shading rate .05?) Intel what? Ram? Since a video card and 3delight are pretty much useless together. I kind of have to say your work has been a bit of an inspiration on me to get back to my own roots with 3Delight and realize just why I got into this Hobby in the first place.

Not the PC I would have got if I had a bottomless wallet, but still happy with it, obviously.
It's a Kaby 7700K paired with 32 GB (and room to add 32 more if need be). I do have a fairly Okay GPU (GTX 1060 6GB) that does help when working the scene in the OpenGL window as it does speed up things when handling millions of polygons. However, as you said, it's useless during rendering with 3delight (and barely enough when rendering with Iray).
I could have chosen a Ryzen, but my last experience with AMD was less than stellar, to say the least, so I decided to put my money elsewhere. It's a shame because 8 cores with hyperthreading would have been sweet!

I don't have the luxury of speed you do, 4.0ghz but am running two GTX980 4gb cards so the 8gb is nice to have. all in all, I'm making do with what I have. Which is way better than what I first started with way back when. 1.6Ghz 1 processor (not even dual core), 2gb ram and 512mb video ram. and Studio was way back at 3.2.

Yep, new computer for a new project. With this one I am able to cut the time to make an image by 2 to 3 compared to my older PC. This is for the most part why I decided to start to work on a new project despite the fact that I have less spare time to work on this than before. Less time to work but shorter time to make images will ensure that I can deliver pages at a pace similar to that of the previous series.
