Description Continuing with the COUNT-down to Hallowe'en here's an oldie I decided to breathe life into: Stan the Crow running into a mad scientist and his sycophantic assistant who might seem vaguely familiar...

The treats just keep on giving! Really cool to see oldies now and again, especially "remastered" versions - how long ago was this strip perchance?

At least a decade. Mid-2001 if memory serves.

I both cringed and laughed at Snout's... little snack.

Wanna know something weird? I have wondered what (cooked, obviously) animal brain would taste like. I mean, they sell heart, liver, kidney...

They sell that too. I only discovered by accident that I like tongue. No jokes please.

Ahaa, back when your art was a bit rounder and in the vein of C-H a bit more, it's always interesting to look back, and good to see touch-ups here and there too. Well done!

Which makes sense since the DM and Duckula casts crossed-over into V&H a few times for added comedic value!

Sadly, I'll probably never see the DM cross-over...

Anywhoo, this is delightful so far! Re-mastered version of an oldie, you say? Is it just the art you've touched up, or is it some dialogue you slightly changed as well?

Chin-up - we'll source the remainder of the episodes!

I redid the line-art and the character colours on computer, the main offenders were the blacks and Snide's nose. I also went over the dialogue (really scruffy the original letters were) and added a few lighting effects. The only dialogue I did change is later when Snide says 'wise guy' I changed it to 'smarty pants' as wise-guy is definately not a Snide saying.

CH is pretty angular and beaky if you look at Duckula. Danger Mouse was more roundy. Victor & Hugo was the best of both worlds

Well, since I was only accustomed to DM as a kid (and even today), you can see where I'm coming from then!

Alias the Jester was another 'roundy' example. In fact V&H are a good example of both - Victor is more angular to Hugo's nubbiness.

I thought the art style looked a little different! Some excellent restoration work indeed, love the spooky surroundings and sound effects, and Snide & Snout a good mad scientist duo they make!

Hahaha very retro in terms of story and gags! I dig it! I hope to see more soon!

Thanks - the re-touching is going along easier than I'd hoped so I'm sure it'll all be done soon.

The coloring and execution to this comic seems different from your usual work but I can't put my finger on it...
