For February 2014 Minimalism Challenge

February 2014 ChallengeHello everyone! As you may have noticed in the title, we have decided to have a challenge instead of a contest for the month of February. From now on we will be doing a mix of contests and challenges, in the interest of having a wide variety of group activities.
For this challenge, we are asking you to explore a style of art that is not often associated with fractals: minimalism. When it comes to fractals, artistic growth doesn't always have to be from a new formula or program feature. This challenge is meant to shift the focus to artistry, exploring how concepts like composition and balance can be used in fractal art just as they are in, say, painting or photography. Just as with last month, it is not required to show the group staff your params, but nevertheless we highly recommend publishing the parameters, since these challenges are meant to be for learning.
Some tips for making fractals more minimal:
Large areas of thoughtfully-placed negative space.
