For our 3rd Manipulation Challenge I thought you might like to work with the tutorials of a master manipulator Gem has produced several tutorials on this subject and you can use any or all of them.
I picked this one because it has a minimum of shapes and eyes can of course be made as intricately as you like in UF. MB3D Photoshop, PSP etc. But, as stated above you can use any of her tutorials though the fractal content must be your own. The background can be a fractal scene or a free graphic but please give credit to the creator in your details if it isn't your own. You may also, of course, use your own shapes
Rules:
Rule No.1 - A fractal program or plug-in must be used as a big part of the image
Rule No.2 - 6 Submissions max.
Rule No.3 - Please mention the group, Challenge and give credit to the artist in your details.
Notes: To read earlier discussions and see comments please click this link: double-ducks.deviantart.com/jo… . Their seems to be some confusion with this challenge. It is a simple cut and paste, masking or selection tool excersize using only 3 shapes. You do not need to be an Apo user to participate. You can use any finished fractal work. You do need to have Paint Shop pro, Corel Photopaint, Photoshop or Gimp or any other free software that will enable you to isolate areas of your fractal. I would suggest you choose a fractal piece with an overall fairly small pattern design.
Challenge 2
I know a few of you loved the colour of the flowers chosen

You are very welcome Liesbeth

also for those commenting - the tutorial takes shapes rendered in apophysis to a program like GIMP or Photoshop to work with...

hopefully it will be read. I really didn't think that simple copy/paste fractal shapes to make a new image would be considered so difficult - still a little bewildered.

i commented on one of these journals already but i think my 'style' isn't really appealing to people.

Maureen you entered this journal for the second time. Which means that the comments from the first one are gone!
(Not only mine!)

It wouldn't go in the group at first so I had to use html. It seems to be in two places now as I still have the discussion that we were having earlier visible. Anyway don't worry about it. I am trying to think of a way to make this challenge easier at the moment, though it is hard for me as I always thought this sort of thing would be easy for everybody.
Gemma has added downloadable shapes so all that needs doing is cutting them out of a fractal piece with other software. Maybe I can find a turorial.

I am quite good in working with PSP, but not everyone is!!!
Having the tutorial aiming on working with apo will not help either!

No Apo is not part of this challenge. Just the shapes. I meant a tutorial for cutting and pasting, since that's all this is. Members can use their Apo works if they want, but a fractal created in any fractal software will be fine.
