My best friends when I was 12 were the New Mutants in stories I used to make up.  Though I saved none of them
Kitty Pryde was girlfriend, who didn't like me talking to Rachel (Phoenix II) and Wolverine used to bust my butt to try harder to be a better Xman, or I'd be dead.  At least that's what I imagined.

My friend created a character named the Green Knight based on my old stories I used to relate to him.  He came up with a really cool explanation that my character was a New Mutant, but was specifically punished by The Beyonder for counting coup on him.

The Green Knight forgot he was a hero, as his punishment from the Beyonder was to grow up again in a universe without Superheroes or SuperVillains.  Only when Parallel Universe traveling villains kidnapped him to get his ideas on a fanfiction he didn't know was about their enemies, did he finally get put on a path to regain his powers.

I actually wrote back then that the reason why Kitty shied from Colossus and started getting close to Doug (Cypher) is because Colossus and I were fighting.  Also Kitty was mad at me because Illayana (Colossus sister) used to manipulate me into being close with her and making Kitty jealous.  I know, I am crazy

But according to my friend's story, when I was shoved into another dimension by the Beyonder, everyone was made to forget me and my contributions to the New Mutants.  Till I was reminded I was not just a fanfiction writer, but actually remembering a previous life that had been taken away from me.
