Aah, Gothmog. One of my favorites. So lumpy and eeeevil...This is part of a larger "Lord of the Rings" drawing I made exclusively for my new 2011 sketchbook.

I love it when Gothmog nearly gets crushed by a boulder and then spits on it. Its like he is saying "F&@! you man! F@!# You!" to Gondor. He just has no fear and is willing to stare death right in the eye.

Gothmog makes me angry.
Why? Because he's so damn INTERESTING, and there's little to no info given on him.
Where did he come from? How did his entire left side get all puffy? What happened to him after the war?

He was killed by Aragorn and Gimli in a deleted scene, and he has a elephantiasis-type disease. Just to answer your questions

Boy, this sure shot up to the first page for "most popular deviations of all time for Gothmog" ^_&
But really! It's like what ActorzInc said: This picture makes him seem really interesting and really cool at the same time! But that's coming from someone who thinks he's a really cool character, despite all the lumpyness..
By the way, you said the 2011 Sketchbook was for sale? I might try and see if I can talk my mom into getting it for me for my birthday, but stuff like that is pretty confusing for me and with how money is these days, it will most likely not happen..
By the way, might I ask you a question concerning this picture? And sorry about the long post..

I've been doing some roleplaying and I just recently got on this one board for Lord of the Rings, and the character that i'm roleplaying as is Gothmog. Would it be alright if I used this picture as an avatar on said board?

He sure was one of the most memorable orcs from the movie, and I found out he was played by the same actor that did Lurtz.

Yep, the same actor (Lawrence Makoare) played Lurtz, the Witch-King, and Gothmog.
