It's beyond me why people today fine this type of stuff to be weird... isn't the whole point to a fictional story to be anything but normal???? A normal setting with nothing strange going on sounds boring as hell!

Sounds like an interesting and exciting life... and it wasn't just the 80s... there are countless storylines with normal human characters interacting with machines, mutants, aliens, the supernatural and so on. But since the Millennial generation have deemed anything that came before them as weird or wrong... too many people just except that there right when it's just there bias opinion...
