Description
A "Wolves of Odin" promotional piece I did for Comic-Con and the announcement of the new webcomic. Here's the official scoop:__________________________________
Beginning July 31st, 2009, the WOLVES OF ODIN saga continues in an all-new webcomic format! Two new pages every week, free for everyone to enjoy online.
~~~~~~~ O ~~~~~~~
Out of anger, Odin, Father of the Norse Gods, unleashed three unstoppable beasts upon mankind. But Thor, God of Thunder, interfered with Odin's plans and aided a warrior named Tyr by giving him the power he needed to ultimately defeat the wolves. Thus the battle ended, but in the aftermath, other events were set in motion.
The spiteful witch Bergthora has given rise to a new breed of werewolf. They can shapeshift at will and hide among the north-men, drawing strength from the Earth itself. They are a threat to not only humanity, but to the gods as well. A war is coming.
EXPERIENCE IT EVERY WEEK AT WOLVESOFODIN.COM
~~~~~~~ O ~~~~~~~

Should you ever pick up this comic you'll have at least one devoted reader from yours truly. I'm still in love with your Bergthora character, despite only knowing her through pictures and the brief introduction I managed to read before the comic was taken down on your website.

Out of curiosity, do you merge pictures together to get that awesome effect with the wolf and viking in the background or is it done all in one picture? It's stunning!

Thanks! Yeah, sometimes (like I think with this piece) I draw the characters on separate sheets, then merge them/lay them out in Photoshop.

I really dig the colouring, the way she seems to glow in front of the background green.

I've been considering making "m" a web-comic. At the very least a prologue story online to see if there is interest.

You should, man! It seems like the best way to start developing a following for new comics these days is to offer it up online for free viewing (and then hope that people like it enough to actually pay for a collected version later on)... I'd love to see an "m" webcomic.

We'll need to talk in SD about it. I need to figure out a good way to put it online. The reader we use on SW.com is far beyond what I would know how to do.

Yeah, I don't know any good readers either (or how to set one up). My "Wolves of Odin" webcomic is going to be set up pretty simply - I'm just going to hand-code it with basic HTML. Nothin' fancy, but we'll see how it works...

I'm doing a new "m" trading card for SDCC, then another for Chicago and so on and so on... I'm going to run with the web comic plan. Thanks for the idea! You'll have to do a pin-up!

I love the trading card idea, dude! By the way, if you want fast trading card printing (really nice glossy quality), I recommend gotprint.com -- you can get like a thousand cards for fifty bucks or less.

Maybe it's just the angle, but I think her forward leg there might be just a tad too long. (Not that I'm anyone to comment...) Other than that it's pretty darn good though. I'm not sure why her breasts are being pushed up when she's clearly not wearing a push-up, but hey, artistic license, right?

That is Frakin awesome. I am so glad the story continues. The last one left me wanting more. I see more WoO fan art oozing out of me soon. Awesome pic Grant, and wonderful news. Can't wait.

Wow! This is awesome! I am really excited to look at this!
And the lady looks reddy to eff somebody up.... Great colours too!
My favourite part is the different textures for the different bits of armor.
