Description So, I usually don't do a whole lot of videogame fan art, but I recently dusted off my old DS and rekindled my child hood by replaying Sigma Star Saga, a GBA title that was released near the end of the handheld's console life.
Depicted here are the two main characters, Recker [link] and Psyme [link]
It's a pretty crummy reproduction of the characters, but I liked it enough to touch it up. I've also never seen a picture of Psyme without her armor on, so I thought it would be fun to give her a different outfit.

Not a whole lot more to say, except anyone with a working DS or GBA should definitely look this game up, especially if you're looking for a solid story, with really dynamic and awesome characters. It may look a bit silly by today's standards, but the story is still solid, and I'm drawn to it's quirky style.

Hope you all enjoy!

Nice fanart. I always thought it was interesting to see Recker's and Psyme's life after the whole episode. That game did have a lot of story and action, a nice mix fro most of the other GBA games I played.

Thanks! There's a few things in this pic I'd go back and change if I could, but on the whole, I'm still pretty pleased with it. I've long dreamt of a sequel or polished remake of the game and with WayForward rocketing into the mainstream as of late, it may not be outside the realm of reality.

Hmm, I see. I definitely look out for as sequel too. It's been forever since I played this game. 2009, perhaps. Great art, though.

Man, such a curious peek into an unfamiliar world. Normally might not trigger the need to explore said world, but when your style highlights its awesome nature, one must seek out more information.

I just re-read that and it sounded like I am a cyborg. Unfortunately not, it's just me being off on a Friday night with beer and free time.

The folks at Way Forward really outdid themselves. I should mention that this isn't an actual scene from the game. The atmosphere of Sigma Star Saga is much more intense with a plot involving a war between humans and aliens, double agents and an evil plan to resurrect an alien super weapon.
And there's no worries. I happen to be fluent in cyborg.

There always seems to be a few gems that slip by during the awkward phase from one console generation to the next.
