How were you able to change the Tweetbot icon? My whole app crashes when I change the .icns

What I did was right click the tweetbot icon in my applications folder to bring up the "get info" window to open.
Have the .icns you want to use handy and right click copy it.
In the "get info" pane on the left side of the screen click on the default tweetbot icon (which should turn blue) and use the paste
function from the menu bar.
