Rough illustration-style colored sketch of a snow leopard and cheetah about to touch noses. They represent me and my husband. If I were a big cat I'd surely be a snow leopard and he says he would be a cheetah.
Though this picture represents us and not a real-life situation, I did start to wonder if it would ever be possible for these two cats to meet in the wild. With the current contracted ranges of these cats I don't think a meeting would even be possible outside of a zoo. However, if you compare the historic ranges of both cats, an Asiastic cheetah could have chanced upon a snow leopard near the fringe of its range. All it would take would be a snow leopard crossing lower elevations or a cheetah traveling through some mountainous terrain.

This piece is very important to me since it represents my marriage! A non-colored version adorns a framed relationship-related document that we each have. I miss my husband while he is gone for months but it comforts me to make such art. I also drew airplanes for him on the document. I asked him if he wanted his cheetah to have wings since he is a pilot, but he said no.

I really should have posted this in early October when I drew it for the important document, but I didn't finish coloring it until tonight. It's good to get some stuff done! I'm getting all kinds of things done this weekend.
