So this my piece that i for the Battleartist this week as i put a lot more time into the piece this time as i wanted to go for a real damaged but still killing machine of Kuma as i love the anime of it and the movie as well as its kick ass, the look on the piece is showing a time maybe in between the anime and movie after kuma takes on Afro with number one as i was really inspired by seeing Kuma with all those Headbands on him as they looked class,and i figured to go for a look where Kuma has spent years fighting Afro and others , each been kill or coming out near to death, like way i tried to make the bear head rot and sink around his mouth as if tit were skin,
so enjoy and comment as i really put a lot into this as i loved making this Bad ass piece.

Comparing this to the original style, Kumas' head seems to small and his body was less bulky (as far as I remember) - that would matter if you wanted to come close to the original style, that is.
In terms of the overall compasition, you might want to keep in mind to leave some free space in between Kuma and all the headbands.
Right now, it seems like you were trying to fill every free spot with a piece of bandage, which is usually a bad idea since its distracting and confusing for the eye.
Having more of the bandages behind one another (in several layers, so to speak) instead of each one next to each other would help keeping some spaces free and also creates a less flat and more 3Dimensional feeling.

To the head i made smaller as i said above of the bear sinking into his skin as if where becoming part of him but i guess also i wanted it to fit my style.
i didn't actually do layers on them besides the red spots and darken the lines as due but i think i will try to sort the space better next time and dimesons tks

Man I love this - original concept of a kuma we never got to see. Slashed eyeball is great and all the grey tones give this the perfect creepy feel - time well spent. This rocks.

you totally succeeded then - this piece is great, and like the fact he's kind of zombied out. Afro is quite a dark story so it seems a fitting feel.
