A scene from Touhou Mecha. Touhou Mecha is a visual novel I made based on Touhou Project's Subterranean Animism .

In general I prefer my background and mecha work over my character art in Chapter 2. I think this one turned out alright though. Part of the reason is because I generally drew stuff in this order:

Character sprites -> Backgrounds -> Mecha Sprites -> CGs

With a few exceptions, like the art for the dream sequence getting done pretty late in the process. That was an idea I got while drawing other stuff.

Lately, I've been experimenting with my color palette a bit. Most notably I've been studying the way the Hyperdimension Neptunia artwork uses color. Is it apparent?
