Description
In this piece, I feel that I really started to hit my stride with watercolor. This is another players character from City of Villains, a hero turned villain after slaying his master, Thor. The background was, originally, going to be a lot more modeled and polished, but after I set down a few lines, it began reminding me of the Tower card from the tarot and I had to leave it as I felt it really summed the character of AoT up quite nicely.Medium: Watercolor and india ink on multimedia board

Great piece! I love the style, very loose in places, tight in others...it's got character and atmosphere.

Thanks. It's a hard thing to do... make my self leave certain areas untouched while detailing the hel out of others. I havent been able to do it really since this piece.

"Evil"
From all the watercolouring I have seen who would have guessed it would be used so well for evil

You're still learning? You sure fooled me.
I have figured out how to make muddy colors and that's about it. LOL

Heh, thanks. I was thinking Skeletor the whole time I was doing it too Spawn never occurred to me, but now that you mention it...
My colors have always been a bit on the subdued and bleached side of things. I used to work strictly monochromatically, but, well, kinda boring to do that in watercolor. I still prefer my colors to be nice and muted

hell, i like it, kinda like a Spawn meets Skeletor and has babies kinda feel. i can tell that you've got a pretty sophisticated eye for shading, even though this isn't really a saturated piece. good work.
