Description Okay here's the Sphinx for the month of February. I was thinking of giving her a scroll on her left arm (paw), but I guess she won't be needing a scroll written in it a list of riddles XD.

A Sphinx is a mythical creature with, as a minimum, the body of a lion and the head of a human. (Meh! body of a lion XD dafuq no way I want to draw breasts! so I gave her a human body). In Greek tradition, it has the haunches of a lion, the wings of a great bird, and the face of a woman. She is mythicised as treacherous and merciless. Those who cannot answer her riddle suffer a fate typical in such mythological stories, as they are killed and eaten by this ravenous monster. Unlike the Greek sphinx which was a woman, the Egyptian sphinx is typically shown as a man (an androsphinx). In addition, the Egyptian sphinx was viewed as benevolent in contrast to the malevolent Greek version and was thought of as a guardian often flanking the entrances to temples.

Hmmm.. I'd prefer the Egyptian Sphinx, guardian fits her better.

Well the Sphinx is famous for the riddles, and I think a lot of you know this one (Which was answered by Oedipus):

"Which creature walks on four legs in the morning, two legs in the afternoon, and three legs in the evening?"

And by some accounts there was a 2nd riddle:

"There are two sisters: one gives birth to the other and she, in turn, gives birth to the first. Who are the two sisters?"

Anyway Sphinx? ME GUSTA

Hmm ...The answer to the first riddle is "Man", and the answer to the second is the older sister, who gives birth to a second child, and her younger sister, who gives birth to her first child.

That's can't be right! The answer to the first is man! Four legs in the morning, basically early in his life, as a baby. Two legs in the afternoon, meaning during the half way point in his life, when he's a full grown adult. AND three in the evening, meaning near the end of his life, when he;s old and has to use a cane to walk around! And I got the second one right too! I said the older sister that gives birth to a second child, meaning she already gave birth once, and her younger sister, who gives birth to her very first child. After all that explaining, how could I get the first one wrong?! Tell me everything!

It's fine. It's the morning and sometimes we're too half awake to think.
