this is a pretty old drawing that i just found on my hdd. nina in a bar.edit: Whoa, holy crap. Thanks for the DD! I never thought anything I made would merit one of those, heh. Especially not this picture, it's so old and not even finished XD. But I was very excited and happy. YES INDEED.

cool cool cool AND i don't know, somehow, i would have thought that by giving spacebar a double meaning somehow would have been really interesting. Like a spacebar (an intergalactic pub) and a spacebar (the largest key on the keyboard)

Now, this is cool... I actually plan on doing some kind of outer-space pub type of place. ("spacebar"... Actually, I didn't think of that at first. Hee.) The character looks very interesting and intelligent; I really like this sort of world that you've set up, here. (The guy on her left, are those spikes coming out of his shoulders? Ooh.) Nice costumes, too, for dangerous fuzzy dudes.
However, I do have to say that, although the light from the lamp and how it's reflecting off of her was done nicely, I think that the atmosphere could have been enhanced more if there were some more dark colors. Not too dark, though. Maybe a dimmer light, and not so much of it reflecting off of people. The maroon colors are nice, but they give the impression of a warmer, more comforting atmosphere than I think a dangerous bar would offer. There is some smoke, but not enough for it to really thicken the air; but too much would be, well, too much. [I'm talking too much. Shoot me.] I honestly couldn't tell that those were other people in the background until I read some of the previous comments. I thought they were just marks on the wall.
You did a really nice job at capturing this kind of setting. It's probably a lot harder than it looks.

Spacebar? I've got one of them thingies on this recangular object that I'm pushing my fingers on to create the illusion of text. So just because it looks like text, it's actually very irrelevant to your awesome picture.

Man...it's all about atmosphere, and this is brimming with it. The dimmed lights, the soften, somber shades that sift with smoke...it's like a scent of Casablanca...but in colour, and with fur The character has a very mysterious allure to her, and as usual the whole thing is a really complete scene, not just a character portrait. It's got class. And that's why we love this stuff. Keep it up!
