I am currently working on many at once, so that I can have many ready all at once, a longer wait initially, but then I will be able to post a few each week while I continue on the next batch.

These are all being colored ATM: Motoko, Boba Fett, Senior Massacre, Swiss Guard, Rev. Custodier, Chandra, Marshall Griffstone.

Might be a few I forgot but its about 6 or 7 Im working on all together in spurts.

Yes it is quite challenging...sometimes I get tired of doing a tedious part so I just pull up a different one to work on that may only need colors blocked in or some cleaning up etc. This way I can stay productive all the time without getting sick of my own work.

Glad you are ready! Hopefully they will be well received. Still deciding it I wanna do double versions with and without line art.

Thanks I thought it would be nice to show some WIP shots along the way, I may take some more mid render. I am new to painting in Photoshop but so far I have been laying down blocks of color to get an overall feel of the character first, and then painting them out with the highlights and shadows afterwards, followed by texturing and final detailing.

Still in the air about backgrounds, probably stick to simplified stuff, not sure if I want it blurry like a lot of artists do or something more specific.

that seems to be a good way. ma girlfriend works that way too, but we still prefer working with copic markers and coloured pencils as soon as we put color in a piece. but still, have to get my trusty wacom to work again some day ...

Well prior to Wacom and PS which I got last year I was using Prismacolor markers. I may post those one day after scanning them in. Seems a shame to have 600 markers you dont use, especially at the cost they are.

yes, markers are really expensive. i own ~72 copic markers, and they were "cheap" when i got 36 for 111 euros (insteadΒ  of 280) still is a lot of money.

please upload a few of your marker pieces, i am really onterested in how you did with markers :3.

Some basic colors and what a difference! Although I don't necessarily like that over-saturated skin color, the rest is fine I guess. If It were my concept, I'd stick with two basic hue sets, and try to avoid using several of them. I mean, it's not like it breaks the composition, It's just my taste. Now the rest is shading. It's not gonna be cel-shaded, am I right?

On reference to the hue sets, if you mean my lighting arrows, they are not actually those colors, it was just the color I had out at the time lol. I will do a strong side light, a mid above and a light opposing side. Probably in red or blue hues.

As to the skin, on my final version I will adjust the saturation in curves, this was just very saturated so I could see what I was painting and testing out skin tones (thus the zillions of colors) in the final I will lighten it up a lot.

The colors for the suit are not really my choice, I am following codex colors for this model. I may adjust them some to taste, but mostly following the real model from the game Infinity.

Thanks for critique, I will appreciate more feedback when I post the final!

no, I didn't meant lighting arrows, I meant that you've got some blues, reds, greens and greys all together, whereas I prefer to stick with one or two of them, or stick within the specified hue range. But I didn't know you're following the color set of already existing concept.

Ah I see, ya the only reason for jumping around is because the model is mostly black, gray and purple, and so I was picking some slightly different versions, doing a purple gray, a blue gray etc. Just so when I render the piece I dont end up with all the same looking gray/black in one material. I am going to try and tie the piece together when I start shading and highlighting.
