i guess you could say i struggled over this maybe a day or two as an experiment to see how to get smooth skin with charcoal and i think i got it, now just have to do another portrait to see if i can acutally do it.it was also done so i could avoid doing my english courseworks due tomorrow *¬*

this is great.. alot better than my drawings.. well hey i got a drawing due in at school on tuesday and yeah i havent even started,. that gives me tomorrow night to do it and yeah .. then imma be in big trouble. but hey it aint gunna turn out real good cos i hate drawing people. they never turn out right. but hey this isnt about me its about ur drawng. great stuff

yup if your gonna draw people stick with it, continuous cus if you stop that's bad news just like me i think i stopped a month before my exams cus my mum was on the verge of throwing all my drawings and art material away,
and when i came back to it i was like 'huh how in the world could i ever drawn that?' and now i'm still working up to my old pieces and haven't reached the mark

sorry, just felt the urge to reply... i know totally what thats like... i had to stop for 2 months for my gcse exams and i came back to it on friday and im struggling to get back what i had built up. i totally know what thats like. anyhow, fantastic drawing... i cant draw in charcoals... they always go wrong. the hair looks so soft and real. great job!

that's alright, it is great to know that you share the same experience.
i couldn't draw in charcoal either until i forced myself on 14 june to be exact and just exeriment all the time, you'll get the hang of it.
