Danis was tasked by Stolas to be Octavia's bodyguard while he sent her off so he could have an argument with Stella. Octavia knew Danis was a sinner, but he always seemed protective of her... so she was fine having him as company. However, Danis was unexpectedly quiet as they walked down the street.
Octavia: You don't have to be quiet you know... your brother does that for you
Danis looked at her.
Danis: Ya... um... sorry... your parents sh*tty relationship just brings back so many memories
Octavia: I can imagine
Danis: But you had it better than I ever did
Octavia was surprised when Danis said that.
Octavia: Wait... how is my life better then yours?
Danis: At least both your parents love you

Danis: Oh... this... my mother gave it to me
