Well this is different. Very spirited and almost uncontrolled, I'm still just trying to figure out if you were focusing on a set pattern or just letting it take off on its own. I really do think the off-set symmetry in this is awesome! Great pattern! I love the colors but all I can say is it looks a bit muddy in the back. I do like the differences in the variation of color in the back instead of having a flat background color. I can't say what color to change it to because you have so many colors you could just play with all the ones you've already used, except maybe on a lighter shade?

I'm glad you like it! It was sort of a combination of both: I laid out a very orderly pattern of linear transforms, then overlaid that with a very orderly (albeit unusual) binary pattern in Xaos... and the result is before you. I had no idea what it would look like, but I ended up rendering it with almost no modification.

Gaussian blurring will cause a 'muddy' look, yes, and it's difficult for an amateur like me to get rid of it. All I can do is bump down the weight, cycle the colors, and hope for the best. But I'll give it a shot.

What did you make THIS one out of? I have never seen any fractal like this from you before. Those poor fractal flies...

I honestly don't know. It was one of those flashes of what can be called either genius or madness. I just took a bunch of evenly-spaced linear transforms (n<1), in approximately a diamond shape, and adjusted their relative weights in a very odd (very, VERY odd) pattern. I didn't have a clue what it would look like. When the dust cleared, I got this... so I added some regional highlights and just rendered it as it was.

An interesting description. Thank you.
