What kind of variant did you use to get the effect of this fractal? I don't think I have ever seem this sort of fractal from you before. Just remember, it's not about the fractal, it's about fractaling.

You are remarkably astute. Good job. And you're exactly right.

For this fractal, I used the 'horseshoe' variation, which I don't think I've ever seriously used before. Certainly not in this capacity, at any rate (the center and focus of repetition). I also used spherical variations for peripheral propagation, which is unusual also; I usually do linear for that.
