Description
One of the benefits of the "Travel bed for anthropomorphics, size 4" is its portability.Β So no one raises an eyebrow when Rocket drags in into the tool room and goes to sleep under the workbench.(Sleeping Rocket is cuter when you can't see the shoddy job they did on his cybernetics.)

I've seen the movies. They didn't shave THAT much of his back. Never thought I'd type that.

You're right of course, it just looked more shaved than it was due to him being wet at the time.Β I was lazy and didn't draw a bunch of little hairs and left the skin bare.Β Maybe he had to shave his back for some reason prior to this pic.Β Luckily he got his back more or less fixed in a recent story of mine so next time I draw him it won't be so gross.

Very cute. Love the detail you put into this piece. Nice reference for his implants. Also I see a reference to Yondu! The idea that Rocket needs to sleep with his gun makes me sad because Rocket has indeed had a hard life. I bet sleeping was a very vulnerable time for him while on the streets, when anyone could grab him, or back at the labs, when the scientists saw his time for sleep as the perfect opportunity to drag him off for experiments.Β

I see Rocket as almost certainly having PTSD due to his horrific upbringing.Β I did a story about how he sleeps badly because I felt so sorry for the little guy.Β Funny how a CGI raccoon can inspire such strong feelings.Β 83

I like drawing fur more than I like drawing clothes, heh. And the gun part isn't as cute when you think he does it because he doesn't feel safe otherwise. Rocket has had a hard life.
