greef — Complex Simplicity

Description Okay.... believe this or not, this took 2 years to complete.. TWO YEARS!! too long in my case..took about 12 gel ink pens, whole lot of stress and eye strain! man the fear that i might spill water on this really freaked me out!

I wanted to put thin in the tattoo section initially but then i went with abstract as i see this as a whole art piece.. i'm used to doing tatto designs but they were on a smaller scale.. this is big, i mean the detail i put into it and the time.. it as to be in the adstract art section..

I did this for my portfolio and i think it's the best i ever did for this type of art.. it's personal but i guess i'll share it with you guys.. hope u like it!

Lol! Yeah it was more or less two years. I started on the sequel right after posting this but I've yet to complete it. I wonder if it'll ever be completed.

w0w... i cant believe you used gelpen for this and didn't get any smudges on it.... (when i use gelpen the side of my pinky always leaves some marks... ts)... this is some colossal work...

Thanks! The trick to using a gelpen is giving the ink some time to dry before you move to the next line etc. but you could also get one of those quick drying gelpens, those are great. but all in all, i was just realy careful with how i drew this making sure my hands were clean and stuff. thanks again for dropping by! appreciate it!

It's beautiful. You're right, we did use something like the same style (completely unwittingly), but some of your details seem to be on a slightly larger scale... it's really well done. Lovely piece.
