Young Justice Fanart and fanfic rec!
So I was reading a cool story in Ao3 titled “Of Splendid Glory ” by Selina, which is pretty interesting, but is also still pretty new and I have no idea where it’s going yet.
But it got me thinking…
What if during that excursion to Cadmus, Robin, Aqualad and Kid Flash rescued both Project Kr and Project Match?
They’d be like twins and then they wouldn’t be alone!! (Cause I believe that Match’s “insanity” can be managed with some therapy and social interaction)
Also, I don't know how to dress people... -_-;

Oh, so that's Project Match. Ok. It would have been nice if they had each other. But I think out of the box, he would have been too dangerous.
But if, let's say, Batman was with them then they could have caught him and then proceed with the a plan of debrainwashing.
Now I have another question. Would Batman want to rescue him? Once they had him he would help with the reprogramming, but who is to say he would let him loose in the first place? They aren't really friends. Batman and Superman.

thank you!! I tried really hard to make it as similar as the style of the show because I wanted people to do a double take and think "whaa..is that a screencap?"
I even used the color of a real screencap!
you are proposing an interesting idea: I mean sure, Batman in this series is waaay friendlier and compasionate than, let's say, the batman of recent comics... but even he would have hesitated to let loose someone as dangerous as Match.
But then I also wonder: how 'insane' is he? for all we know his attitude while he was awake had more to do with mental development because he was made to grow at a fast pace inside a tube than being truly 'insane'
(cause I spend sleepless nights thinking about the developmental psycology of both Superboy and Match: sure, they had whole encyclopedias shoved inside their brains, they new how to talk and walk in their grown bodies and they were also, apparently, able to understand 'object permanence' but they were essencially babies! you can't just shove knowledge and interaction simulations at a child and expect them to act as normal children, there are many things we learn by aging and experiencing the world, so yeah... can Cadmus trully deetermine an 'insane' diagnosis for Match? or is it just them using that term to vouch for a 'tamer' result?)

I actually thought that it was a half a screencap from when Conner saved that bus on the bridge and Superman showed up to help, kinda, before running away. Fine. Flying away. For a guy that has a slight reputation of dished out advice, he could have done a bit better for that whole season. I'll willingly give him two or four eps for him to come to metal grips with what has happened.
As for Match, I thought half of the reason for him being metal unstable, and I may have to watch that ep again, but I think his trigger was the El crest. I think he was given different operational parameters than Conner. Also, I think they, Cadmus, confessed to messing him up and he was their first try.

yeah, Match was the first clone, so they probably made a lot of mistakes... still, you know me: I find a way to super twist craks in a plot to create a 'what if'

Normally I like to go with canon as much as possible. I don't like going ooc or what is the point of doing a fanfic, I think. Just giving people the names of people from a show/anime or what have you, doesn't make it a fanfic if everything else is different.
So... what if?? What if?? Which canon do you want to mess with first?

hehe, for me my favourite canon to mess with is transformers, then DC comics... but that's because they have these weird tangents and reboots and alternate universe that give me su much cannon that I end up choosing bits and pieces of different realities!

Yeah both of them have been reworked for decades they have tones of holes for you to play in.
As for DC, I.. I.. I'm not sure. I know they have been around for a while, for forever really. Almost as long as there has been comic books. But I don't know/remember, when I first learned about the DC universe. I new of superman and batman. The rest popped up after I was 15 I'm pretty sue. How far after I don't know.
If I had to choose between the two, it would be DC over Transformers, but how much can I mess with Batman and what I know of his world? Kal-El is a boyscout, like Batman has called him, that I can't do anything with him unless I make him a little ooc. Just a tad so he would end up in a place he never thought he would be. But since I couldn't take him too far, I'll end up having him moping around in guilt until Batman, maybe Batman, slap some sense into him and even then, it will never leave him but he would pull himself back up and move on.
Now that I think of it, I could mess with him through Connor or even Match. Young Justice is a new thing for me.

hehehe! indeed, DC is much more interesting mostly because it has so many plots and too many multiverses and variations and years and years of canon. and Transformers goes and changes and mainly stays in the same conlicts and while it's really fun they are sometimes a little "too" alien fur people to connect with them...

No, they don't, but also tiny things like: do they sleep? Do they sleep like us? Or do they eat? Do they write or just use their internal com's all the time? Can they actually be seen sitting in a loungey place or is that against their programs...
Basically, everytime I draw a transformer I wonder how human they truly are and how much I am bending the franchise to make them appear human...
