Description

Sideswipe might have started with the wrong foot when it came to Hot Rod, but he grew fond of him quite fast.

And yeah, he might tell people he loves Hot Rod because the kid can play cards like a pro, is a natural sniper in any strategy game, or simply because he's gutsy enough to yell at Optimus Prime.

...but the real reason why he loves Hot Rod is for the effect he has on his brother.

The kid might not realize how monumental this moment actually is (ho wmaybe he does; Sides knows they have spend so many vorns together that maybe this is actually a daily occurrence for Rod) but for Sideswipe, who saw his brother walk away from his artistic career and never look back, this is a miracle from Primus.

So there you have it. When the war escalated and Sunny and Sides became full time soldiers, Sunstreaker stopped drawing...until he met Hot Rod.

Also, I actually made these drawings bedore I made “memento ” but never fully placed them together, but since I was lacking in material I decided to save them from obscurity.

And I think this means at some point I actually had an idea of how much Hot Rod had grown. Cause I remember that chronologically, the first time Hot Rod and Sunny are in the same panel is in “Step one, find a ride ”and Hot Rod's head seems to barely reach the middle of Sunny's chest, and in this new image he kinda reaches his shoulder... huh...kids grow up so fast.
